Plan
As in so many other areas of life, time spent planning your vegetable garden will pay you back handsomely. You'll avoid frustrations and end up saving time in the long run. Plus, part of the fun is pouring over seed and plant catalogues dreaming of the gourmet produce you'll be enjoying in a matter of weeks.
This isn't a big planning project! Just give some thought to selecting the location of your new garden, what vegetables you'd like to grow -- all easy, or some trickier ones as well? Finally, decide how many to plant of each variety and the initial layout of the garden.
